Moments in our Day
It can happen at any time
especially if we find ourselves
beneath a vast starry sky
or sitting with our beads
in the early morning hours
and sense ourselves
as tiny sparks of life
part of this extraordinary
gathering of existence
this pulsing aliveness
of material and spiritual energy
visible and invisible
everywhere and everywhere.
And what do we do with
this feeling, this smallness?
We hold it, we bow
we breathe for the moment
until we come back
to the largeness
of our own small life
a little wiser, a little kinder,
a little more connected to
the source of it all
Krishna, and His love
trusting our part in it
however small.
